“The Letter” is my first narrative foray into the fascinating world that was the Pacific Northwest during the height of the American Prohibition, during the 1920’s and 30’s. Inspired by my love of of true crime and movies like “The French Connection” and “The Untouchables”, my aim with this story was to challenge those kinds of “good guys vs bad guys” narratives that dominate our pop culture landscape.
I loved the opportunity to write and draw a “film noir” style story, a genre that I’ve wanted to work in for literally decades. Hope you all enjoy!
